Leadership
I’ve learned that leadership is less about having all the answers and more about asking the right questions, bringing the right people together, and creating the structure for them to succeed.
Most of what I know about leadership has come from learning in real time: taking responsibility for something that matters, working with people who bring different strengths and perspectives, and figuring out how to turn an idea into something a team can actually execute.
Today, I serve as President of the Ole Miss Business Club, but the lessons I’ve learned there have shaped how I approach every team, project, and opportunity I take on.

HOW I THINK ABOUT LEADERSHIP
People first. Systems second. Results follow.
I’m still learning what good leadership looks like, but a few principles have started to shape how I approach it:
Give people real ownership.
If someone is responsible for something, they should have room to think, make decisions, and improve it.
Build systems that outlast you.
A strong organization shouldn’t fall apart when one person graduates, changes roles, or gets busy.
Ask before assuming.
Some of the best ideas I’ve encountered have come from people who understood a problem better than I did.
Follow through.
Ideas and relationships only become valuable when someone takes responsibility for what happens next.
Leave room to be wrong.
Leadership has repeatedly put me in situations where I don’t know the answer. I’ve learned that asking for help early usually produces a better outcome than pretending I do.
" The accomplishments, internships, and professional network created through this leadership team have been extraordinary."

WHAT LEADERSHIP HAS TAUGHT ME
The more responsibility I’ve been given, the more I’ve realized how much I still have to learn.
Leading others has taught me to communicate more clearly, listen before making decisions, ask for help when I need it, and think beyond what has to get done today.
It has also changed how I define good leadership. I care less about being the person with the answer and more about whether the people around me have what they need to succeed, and whether what we build can keep getting better after I’m gone.
